Four vehicle thefts reported in city

Four motor vehicle thefts and two burglaries were reported in the city on Saturday.

Four motor vehicle thefts and two burglaries were reported in the city on Saturday.

Ajay Kumar, a resident of Raipur Khurd, reported that his Passion motorcycle CH-03U-3914 was stolen from a vegetable market in Sector 34. In a similar incident, Suresh Sharma, a resident of Kajheri village reported his Splendor motorcycle CH-01-AP-2898 missing from a vegetable market in Sector 43.

In separate incidents, Hadim, a resident of Dhanas, reported his Splendor Plus motorcycle CH-04E-3775 missing from outside his house. Vishal Sehgal, a resident of Sector 29-B, reported that someone had stolen his Passion Plus motor cycle CH-03R-8869 from near his house. Ram Niwas of Sector 41 reported his Maruti car CH-01-AU-4291 stolen from outside his house. The thefts took place on September 12. Rajesh Kumar of Raipur Khurd reported his motorcycle CH-04C-6642 stolen from outside his house on September 11. Sunil Kumar of Burail reported his motorcycle CH-01-AU-1347 stolen from outside his house on September 13.

Meanwhile, gold ornaments were reported stolen from the houses of two women. In the first incident Sarita, a resident of New Indira Colony, reported her gold mangal sutra, earrings and cash `6,400 were stolen from her residence on September 12.

Similarly, Balbir Kaur, a resident of Phase 1 Ramdarbar, reported one set of gold earrings, twp gold rings, gold chain and silver payal was missing from her house. The police have registered separate cases of thefts and burglary under sections 379 (punishment for theft) and 380 (theft in dwelling house, etc) of the Indian Penal Code in all the incidents.
