A 30-year-old married woman has alleged a gangrape by two people at Raipur Rani police station. The police arrested one of the accused, who had been sent to judicial custody on Tuesday.
As per her complaint, her family was facing financial difficulty. Her neighbour Ravi Kumar, 19, lured her that he would get her a job in a beauty parlour. Kumar was also in business of hair dressing. His mother Sardari Devi also assured the victim that they would help her in getting the job.
On January 25 Kumar along with a person came to her house for purpose of imparting her training. She alleged that they gave her some intoxicating substance in a liquid and after that raped her.
She then narrated the incident to Sardari Devi who did not believe in her story. She took the victim to a doctor in Raipur Rani on February 16, which confirmed that she was pregnant.
The victim alleged that both Kumar and his mother threatened her not to reveal about it to anyone otherwise her family would be finished off. The victim further informed that her husband had gone through sterilisation.
On March 19, as per her complaint, Kumar, her mother and one of their relatives, Sunder Lal, took her to a hospital and got her abortion done.
But her condition started deteriorating. On March 24, she was taken to a doctor. That day her husband, who works as a mechanic, asked her about poor health where she revealed the whole incident.
Kumar, who was arrested on Sunday, in his confessional statement, said that he and the victim were in a relationship for two years and on January 25, he had raped her. Kumar was sent to judicial custody on Tuesday.
