Girls trounce boys in BCA-2 results

After third-year BCA girls grabbed the top three positions in the results declared by PU last week, boys were once again trounced in the BCA-2 results declared by the university on Monday. Girls grabbed the top three spots in the examination.

After third-year BCA girls grabbed the top three positions in the results declared by PU last week, boys were once again trounced in the BCA-2 results declared by the university on Monday. Girls grabbed the top three spots in the examination.


Sadaf, a student of Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Model Town, Ludhiana has topped the examination with 1,315 out of 1,600 marks. Sonali Mehndiratta of Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 11, Chandigarh, who secured 1,299 marks, came second while Shaina Jain and Cheezi Preet Kaur of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, and Government College for Girls, Ludhiana, respectively, shared the third spot with 1,294 marks.

PU Controller of Examinations (CoE) Parvinder Singh said that 1,482 of the 1,808 students who took the examination passed, bringing the pass rate to 81.97%, up from last year's 59.85%.

Payal Monga of Dev Samaj College for Women, Ferozepur City, Rhythum of Government College for Girls, Ludhiana, Mehak Sehgal of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, and Jaskeet Kaur of Guru Nanak National College, Doraha, (Ludhiana) secured the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh positions respectively.
Manisha of DAV College, Abohar, Darpan of Kamla Lohtia SD College, Ludhiana, and Ravi
Phutela of GGDSD College, Sector 32, Chandigarh, shared the eighth position.

Amrit Kaur of Government College for Girls, Ludhiana, came ninth, while Sadhana Kumari and Kiran Sachdeva of Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 11, Chandigarh and MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, respectively, shared the tenth spot.
