Girls have again outshone boys both in pass percentage and securing perfect CGPA in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 examinations results declared on Tuesday.
As per the official record of the board, a total of 23,058 students from Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali appeared in the exams in March 2014, out of which 13,106 were boys and 9,754 were girls. Despite less in numbers, 99.43% girls cleared the exam as compared to pass percentage of 98.93% in case of boys. Overall pass percentage in tricity remained 99.14%.
The National Capital laggedbehind other regions in CBSE Class X results declared today, posting a pass percentage of 98.31 per cent as against Thiruvanthapuram region which topped the country with a pass percentage of 99.96%.
Delhi stood eighth out of a total of 10 CBSE regions, where 98.81% girls and 97.88% of boys passed in the exam.
Delhi had registered a pass percentage of 98.40% last year.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class X results for Panchkula region, including Haryana, Union Territory of Chandigarh, Punjab, Jammu &Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh at 4pm on Tuesday.

According the CBSE officials, the Board had declared the Class X results for Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram regions on Monday, while results for rest of the regions (six) were declared on Tuesday evening.

The schools can get entire school's results by giving their school code and email-id by registering themselves on which result is required on the following websites: www.results.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in, www.cbse.nic.in
Results through IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System)
Board would be disseminating its results through IVRS also. Rates for IVRS per roll no. will be Rs. 0.30 per minute.
