Chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday campaigned for party candidate from Uklana constituency Naresh Selwal, stressing that Selwal’s winning would make him the CM for the third time.

“During Congress regime, Uklana got record grants of `678 crore for development, while the INLD had given only `250 crore.” He also took a dig at Modi’s achche din promise saying price rise had touched a new high.

“Narendra Modi is still misleading the people by his false oratory," said Hooda.

He made a fervent appeal to the voters and said, "The Congress government worked for the welfare of all sections of the society. The INLD leader is claiming to become the CM, but the truth is he cannot even contest. The BJP does not even have a leader for the post. In such a situation, it would be wise to give me a chance to make a hat trick.” Candidate Naresh Selwal also made appeals to be given a second chance.
