Planning a vacation this summer? Here are some fab holiday options straight out of our own celebrity jetsetters' diaries. From adventure to leisure jaunts, plan a trip like your favourite film stars do by Swati Rai

DIVYA DUTTA

TRAVEL TYPE: I am a true-blue adventure seeker! Be it paragliding in New Zealand, or adventure sports in Goa and the very recent, deep-sea diving in Andamans - I am game for it all!

HOT SPOT: Recently, I went for deep-sea diving training at the Andaman Islands. It is a must-do for any thrill-seeker.

TRIP TALK: I am quite scared of water but I pushed my limits and did deep-sea diving in the Andamans. The effort was worth the risk as the world underneath is an eye-opener and I am glad I did it!

BUDDY SYSTEM: I feel nothing can beat a set of like-minded friends to get the most out of your trip.

TRAVEL WISE: I would advise travellers to first get the flavour of the place, its people and then shop! While filming the film, Haat - The Weekly Bazaar, I checked out every nook and corner of Rajashthan's gallis!

JIMMY SHERGILL

TRAVEL TYPE:
Pleasure in leisure! We are so busy travelling all over the world on shoots, promos and events that my ideal holiday has to be just chilling out with my family - be it a short weekend break or a long trip.

HOT SPOT: We often go on a holiday to London and the US - both the east and the west coast. Another ideal family holiday destination where we recently went to is Dubai. That place has something to offer everyone. There is shopping, relaxation and of course, fine dining too!

TRIP TALK: I am quite easy going when it comes to signing autographs and giving photo opportunities to fans. While travelling though it becomes difficult to oblige everyone as even we have to go through all the formalities which are time bound. Then I have to force myself to curtail this activity!

BUDDY SYSTEM: Well, apart from my family and friends, I always carry my iPad. On it, I play games, watch movies and of course, read scripts!

TRAVEL WISE: It's crucial you plan your trip well. Your paperwork such as visas and passports and official documents should be in order. Remember to wear comfortable clothing and of course travel light to make space for duty free shopping.

KULRAJ RANDHAWA

TRAVEL TYPE:
I like a little bit of everything. Where's the time to travel at your will? So, I grab any opportunity that I get to travel!

HOT SPOT: I like to go abroad on a holiday to places such as Switzerland, where I recently was for a shoot. As a celeb, one gets one's own space when travelling outside of India. I am excited to go to Kashmir this to visit Kashmir, so I am extremely excited!

TRIP TALK: While shooting on a frozen lake in Switzerland, I almost slipped into a melted patch. That is one experience I will never forget!

BUDDY SYSTEM: I like to travel with my friends and my phone!

TRAVEL WISE: When travelling, remember to carry an all-weather jacket as you can never trust the mercurial weather these days.

GUL PANAG

TRAVEL TYPE:
In my latest movie, Fatso, a feel-good romantic comedy, I play the part of a girl who is the object of the affections of all the boys in the film. In real life, my travel personality is outdoorsy and exploratory. We have built a 'green' weekend home at Mulshi near Mumbai, a retreat for trekking, mountain biking and rock climbing. We miss the fields of Punjab, so we have plans to grow organic vegetables at Mulshi. This is our own little way of keeping in touch with our farming roots.

HOT SPOT: I loved riding my motorcycle in Leh and Ladakh. The terrain is very stark and beautiful.

TRIP TALK: I first went to Leh almost a decade ago with my boyfriend (now husband) on his bike. The road then was bad, and one had to traverse many streams. He would insist on leaving at the crack of dawn- since the snow was yet to melt and the streams would have less water. But I was in holiday mood and in no hurry to get up. As a result, by the time we got to this notorious patch, the melted snow had made the stream swell and I had a fall. I had to ride wet till I dried up!

BUDDY SYSTEM:
Apart from my husband, I enjoy travelling with my brother, Sherbir. We have a lot in common and get along really well. I enjoy the familiarity, the ragging and the togetherness we share!

TRAVEL WISE; Carry money, a mobile phone and enjoy the ride. Always plan well which is the key to a great trip.
