Real estate firm Silverglades and Israeli Group Brack Capital Real Estate today announced the development of a golf-based mega township project in Ludhiana with an estimated investment of Rs 600 crore.

Spread across 280 acres, the project 'Imperial Golf Estate' will be completed in three-and-half years.

"We are very happy to be associated with BCRE and IIRF 2 Realty fund of IL&FS in this prestigious project. Our aim is to create an exclusive community of like-minded individuals in which one will find the finest standard of living anywhere in the world. Our experience of creating such communities in the NCR will prove to be an asset to the project," Silverglades Chairman Pradeep Jain said in a statement here.

The project will put Ludhiana on the global golfing circuit and will attract international players and golf tournaments to Punjab.

Not only will the project bring enormous employment opportunities to Punjab, but also encourage young people to take up the sport through the Imperial Golf Academy & Driving Range, which is already under construction and expected to open in July this year, he said.
