Punjab government is soon going to introduce 'patient feedback forms' in all its hospitals across the state.
Principal secretary, health and family welfare, Vini Mahajan here said that directions were already given to the civil surgeons.
"A patient satisfaction survey was being conducted through the Chandigarh’s Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER). Based on the questionnaire, the feedback format will be developed that would emphasise on key service delivery areas in the health institutions," she said.
"A mechanism to install feedback boxes is also being discussed and will be finalised soon," she added.
She said that the move is aimed at putting in place more accountability and better behaviour by the staff deputed in hospitals and providing better health care facilities to the patients
She further pointed out that the toll free non-emergency medical helpline 'Dial 104' was already functioning in the state.
