Sirsa has become the first district of Haryana where students of government schools would get education through smart classes.
This was stated by member of Parliament Ashok Tanwar after inaugurating digital classroom programme in Sirsa on Monday. The digital classroom has been started for 71 schools in Sirsa district.
Haryana comes second after Karnataka where this programme has been implemented.
Tanwar said that a sum of Rs 2 crore would be spent on this project implemented under Backward Region Grant Fund (BRGF) Programme. District administration had signed an agreement with Pearson Education Services Private Limited for implementation of the scheme.
He said the company would provide all facilities related to smart class in all 71 schools.
Education would be provided to Class 12 students through smart boards in digital classrooms, he said
All subjects in Hindi and English language would be taught through smart boards. Resource persons of the company would impart training to teachers for implementation of this
project, he added.
