Govt employees to accompany 'jathas' to Pak

The Punjab government has invited applications from state employees not below the rank of senior assistant to accompany the religious 'jathas' (groups) to be sent to Pakistan as liaison officers.

The Punjab government has invited applications from state employees not below the rank of senior assistant to accompany the religious 'jathas' (groups) to be sent to Pakistan as liaison officers.

A spokesman said the union government was contemplating on sending Sikh religious 'jathas' to Pakistan in 2015 to enable them to celebrate religious occasions and other important events.


The desirous state employees may apply in this regard on a prescribed format that should reach the office of General Administration, 6th floor, Punjab Civil Secretariat by December 31, 2014, the spokesman said.
