A local academician has written to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) pointing out errors in a problem-solving assessment book published this year. In a letter written to the board, Arvind Goyal claims that the English book provided by the board multiple grammatical errors.

"To have such errors in the usage of the English language in a worksheet provided by a reputed board like the CBSE is ironical. These errors will further confuse students and will teach them incorrect usage of the language," said Goyal, requesting the board to make changes.

Talking to HT, Arvind Goyal, who is also a doctor, said errors have found their way into CBSE's books in the past as well.

"This is not the first time such things have happened. It is a reputed education board and thus they should be very careful with the content which is getting published. They need to have better team for proof reading or else it can become a concern for the students," he said.
