Haryana Assembly today unanimously passed a resolution appreciating and congratulating Indian hockey team for qualifying for the London Olympics.
Parliamentary affairs minister Randeep Singh Surjewala moved a resolution to this effect on Friday during the ongoing budget session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha which was also supported by the opposition parties BJP and INLD.
Mr Surjewala has placed a resolution to record the appreciation of the House to Indian hockey team for its excellent performance and congratulate its victory in the Olympics qualifier.
The resolution further said, "This House particularly places on record its appreciation of two Haryana players Sandeep Singh and Sardara Singh for their team spirit and outstanding individual performance.
This House also places on record its appreciation for the laudable awards and encouragement announced by Haryana government for the entire Indian hockey team and in particular the two players from Haryana.
