State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Ram Bilas Sharma is still noncommittal on alliance with Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) for the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
Sharma, who was in Panchkula regarding a party programme, said that the picture on alliance with HJC would get clear soon. “The central leadership of the party would soon decide on the alliance in 2-4 days,” he added.
He told reporters for about two-and-half-hours, he talked to national party president Amit Shah over the condition of the alliance and also told him that from their side there was no violation of coalition principles.
He even did not reply whether he wanted continuance of the alliance. He said that on the issue of declaring chief minister candidate also, the decision would be taken by the central leadership.
He claimed that many Congressmen were trying to contact him with the intention to switch over. When asked about possibility of Congress leader Birender Singh joining BJP, he said he was not aware of it.
On the formation of separate gurudwara management committee, he said that it was the ploy of the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government to deflect attention. He also alleged that law and order situation in the state had collapsed and employees were a harassed lot.
