Haryana governor Jagannath Pahadia, who visited Mansa Devi temple on the first Navratra on Monday, wanted to make sure that this time there would be no snake in his golf cart as last year a snake had come to his golf cart.
Pahadia got his golf cart checked thoroughly before embarking on it. Though policemen checked the cart thoroughly, but still Pahadia before sitting on the cart, asked the driver whether they had checked the cart.
Additional deputy commissioner SP Arora and ACP Mamta Sodha assured the governor that all was safe. Then only Pahadia boarded on the cart.
While talking to media persons, Pahadia said it was due to goddess Mansa Devi that he and his wife survived the plane crash at Chandigarh airport earlier this week.
Last year in October, as he was away to offer prayers to goddess Mansa Devi, a snake was found climbing the golf cart. An inspector spotted it and raised the alarm.
When the snake went into the lawn, it was captured and killed. When Pahadia retur ned, he was informed about the incident. He had then preferred to walk down than taking ride on golf cart.
