Haryana: No salary for CM advisers since last 4 months

All eight advisers of Haryana chief minister ML Khattar have not been paid even a penny since they joined the CM Office about four months ago.

They are: Khattar’s media adviser Amit Arya; officer on special duty (OSD, media, New Delhi) Raj Kumar Bhardwaj ; OSD to CM (Chandigarh) Jawahar Yadav; OSD to CM grievances) Bhupeshwar Dayal; OSD to CM (Chandigarh residence) Capt Bhupinder; OSD to CM (Karnal camp office) Amarinder Singh; political advisor to CM Jagdish Chopra and political secretary to CM Deepak Mangla.

A former journalist Arya is a native of Palwal and has been associated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Bhardwaj hails from Rohtak and was formerly a journalist having old association with RSS.

Yadav hails from Gurgaon and has had old association with ABVP, while Dayal, a native of Sonepat, has also been associated with the RSS for long like Capt Bhupinder, a retired defence personnel who hails from Hisar.

Amarinder, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s executive committee, hails from Balia district of Uttar Pradesh, where he was also the party’s organisation secretary. Chopra hails from Sirsa, Mangla, is from Faridabad while both of them have been associated with RSS.

Sources said though the file pertaining to their salaries was pending in finance department these are yet to be discussed with finance minister Capt Abhimanyu who was away to US for about a month. rajesh.moudgil@hindustantimes.com
