In view of increased demand due to hot weather conditions and delayed Monsoon, coupled with low frequency prevailing in the Northern Grid, the Haryana Power Distribution Utilities the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) and the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) have restricted power supply to eight hours daily to the industries in the State with immediate effect.

Restricted power supply to industries has become necessary for giving, as per schedule, adequate power supply to agriculture sector and domestic sector.

An official spokesman said in Chandigarh on Friday that as per new power regulatory measures issued by DHBVN the industrial and independent industrial feeders in its area would now get power supply for eight hours daily.

For power supply, the Nigam has divided industries in two zones putting the operation circles Faridabad, Bhiwani and Narnaul in zone 1 and operation circles Gurgaon, Hisar and Sirsa in zone 2.
