Two teenage girls in Haryana committed suicide, allegedly because they were upset after being stalked, by consuming soft drink laced with poisonous substance at a coaching centre on Monday.

The victims were students of classes 11 and 12 in a local school.

As per details, when duo went to coaching centre, they bought a soft drink and consumed it by mixing poison in it.

As their health deteriorated, the owner of coaching centre rushed them to local hospital and both died there. Meanwhile, police started investigating the matter from all the angles.

Talking to HT, DSP Karan Goel said, the police have recovered two separate suicide notes from both girls, who had alleged that two boys were stalking them and did not relent despite their protest.

Police registered a criminal case under Section 306 (abatement to suicide) and 354D (stalking) against the accused, he added.
