Digressing from its conservative perception that girls attract attention of boys by wearing skimpy clothes, Hisar-based Hindu Mahasabha has felicitated brave girls from Rohtak with a cash award of Rs 1,100 each and gave them a memento to salute their fighting spirit.

Dharampal Siwach, president of Hindu Mahasabha, Hisar, said the right wing organisation would again honour both the girls on February 4 at Delhi during a national programme, where Union home minister Rajnath Singh is expected.

On his organisation’s views that girls should not wear jeans, he said even the girls have accepted that had they worn skin-tight jeans or skimpy clothes, they may not have countered the accused. However, both the girls were wearing jeans during the incident and also on Tuesday during felicitation ceremony in Hisar.
