However, when Jasmine woke up on Sunday morning with fever and acute pain in the arms and on the lips, she apprised her relatives of the matter. They admitted the girl to the hospital and informed the police.
The police recorded the girl's statement on Monday. The doctors conducted an X-ray on her jaws and teeth, whose report would be available on Tuesday.
Vicky Walia, the girl's uncle, said the school authorities had approached the family on Monday for a compromise, but he had told them that it was not possible at this stage.
