Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Monday congratulated ace shooter Gagan Narang for winning bronze in 10m Air Rifle at London Olympics and announced to give him a reward of Rs 1 crore.
Hooda said that Gagan had brought laurels to the country as well as to the state and has made every citizen proud by winning first medal for India in the Olympics.
He hoped that other players would also bring medals home and said that those winning gold medals would get Rs 2.50 crore, while silver and bronze winners would be awarded Rs 1.50 crore Rs 1 crore respectively as announced earlier.
Gagan's family hails from Panipat. His grandfather lived in Samalkha in Panipat district, though later on the family shifted to Hyderabad
