HPAU students bring laurels to varsity in national level competitive exams

Students of Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University (HPAU) have been selected in various national-level competitive exams said joint director of the university's information and public relation department Hirday Paul Singh.

He said, “Three students of the university have made it to final merit list of the Remount and Veterinary Corps (RVC) of the Indian Army. Surjeshwar Sehgal, Ajay Thakur and Ajay Sharma are among total 11 vets who have been selected in RVC from across the country.”

Singh added students of three constituent colleges of the university have also bagged top positions in the Indian Council of Agricultural Research's Junior Research Fellowship examination.

Richa Thakur secured 12th rank at the All India Level in Veterinary Sciences followed by Radhika Vaidya, Deepti Sharma, Chaavi Sharma, Ankit Ahuja, Swati Chaudhary Varun Puri, Ekta and Sanjay Vivek Negi.

Apoorva Shekhar secured first position for admission to animal biotechnology conducted by Jawahar Lal Nehru University. Besides, four students of the university have cleared entrance examination of top management institutes in the country.

University vice-chancellor KK Katoch congratulated the students and teachers for the achievements.
