The minister also directed the public works department (PWD) officials to carry out necessary repair of the roads connecting the rural areas in the district, keeping in view the onset of monsoon season so that there was no inconvenience to the general public.

He said the irrigation and public health (IPH) department has also been asked to ensure supply of potable water in the villages.

Bali also informed about the approval of `250 monthly pension to five senior citizens over the age of 80 years and financial help provided for the marriage of four girls from poor families by the Nagrota Welfare Society.

Bali said adequate funds were being provided for development of the Nagrota constituency and people should take benefit of the welfare schemes being run by the state government.
