Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC) members on Wednesday forcibly took over historical Gurdwara Shri Hargobind Sahib Patshahi at Guhla Cheeka in Kaithal district by engaging the SGPC at Kurukshetra.

The SGPC was anticipating the control over gurdwara at Kurukshetra, but the HSGMC without any resistance took control over the Gurdwara by engaging SGPC members at Kurukshetra, who were not expecting such a bid here.

Led by HSGMC member Avtar Singh, a 200 member delegation took over the gurdwara management and started performing seva.

Anticipating law and order problem, heavy police force have been deployed outside the gurdwara and all roads leading to it have been barricaded. Meanwhile, Kaithal DC and SSP Kuldeep Singh have reached the spot.

When asked about the SGPC and SAD members rushing to Gulha to take over the control, the SSP said that there job is to maintain the law and order and no one will be allowed to enter the gurdwara.
The gurdwara has an annual income of more than Rs 70 lakhs per year and is spread over 125 acres of land.
