The Punjab government on Tuesday gave additional charges of financial commissioner (revenue) and principal secretary (information and public relations) to principal secretary (home affairs and justice) Jagpal Singh Sandhu, in an administrative reshuffle of over a dozen senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers.
NS Kang, a 1983-batch IAS officer, who is proceeding on central deputation, had been handling the portfolios of financial commissioner (revenue) and principal secretary (information and public relations).
Dharamvir has been posted as principal secretary of Punjab State Human Rights Commission, replacing B Sarkar who has been given the post of Commissioner for persons with disabilities and commissioner surplus pool.
C Roul is the new principal secretary (school education) in place of Anjali Bhawra, who has been posted as principal secretary (tourism and culture), principal secretary (parliamentary affairs) Ravneet Kaur will also hold the additional charge of principal secretary (coordination, cabinet affairs in general administration department), relieving Sanjay Kumar of the additional charge.
Rahul Bhandari, who was secretary (school education) is secretary (general administration).
Raji P Srivastva will be director MGSIPA, replacing KS Saroj who has been posted as secretary (printing and stationary). KAP Sinha, who has returned from central deputation, has been posted as secretary (science technology and environment). Secretary (home) Samir Kumar will be secretary (revenue) and RK Kaushik who was special secretary (defence services welfare) has been posted as special secretary (home).
Rakesh Verma, who is secretary (technical education and industrial training), apart from chairman, Punjab State Technical Education Board, will also hold the additional charge of secretary, governance reforms, and Sumer Singh Gurjar, who was available for posting, has been posted as special secretary, defence services welfare.
