Ludhiana-based child actor Jannatpreet Kaur doesn’t believe in ghosts, but that doesn’t prevent her from giving a convincing performance in the film, Haunted Child. Jannatpreet has put on the look of a scary zombie for the upcoming film, in which she plays the title role.

Directed and written by Salaam Raza, whose earlier stint in Bollywood includes scriptwriting for the Govinda-starrer Naughty @ 40 that released last year, Haunted Child recently completed shooting at the marble mines in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Expected to release in March, the other actors in the project include Shakti Kapoor, Pankaj Beri and Mustaq Khan. Debutantes Tarun and Peehu Chauhan are playing the lead pair.

Sharing details about the film, 14-year-old Jannatpreet, a resident of Field Gunj, said she enjoyed playing the role.

“But I don’t believe in them,” she added. For the fair-skinned pretty girl, sporting the look of the dead meant at least a two-hour ordeal of putting layers of make-up daily.

“It was a one-of-its-kind experience,” said Jannatpreet, who has to her credit over 60 music videos, and a number of movies including The Heart Land, Dev D, Naughty @ 40 and Mausam.
