INLD seeks compensation for farmers

Indian National Lok Dal leader and Ellenabad MLA Abhay Singh Chautala today said that the entire state was in the grip of drought-like conditions and the farmers were a worried lot.

He said the government should hold a special girdawari and announce a compensation at the rate of Rs 20,000 per acre to the farmers. He was addressing a meeting of party workers at his residence on Dabwali Road, here. Suresh Kuku, Leeladhar Saini, Veerbhan Mehta, Krishan Gumbar, Amir Chawla, Mahvir Bagdi, Ram Kishan Tanwar and other INLD leaders were present in the meeting.
