A day after Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) expelled its Rohtak Lok Sabha candidate Shamsher Kharkhara for anti-party activities, he launched an offensive against the party by dubbing it as the undemocratic party run by a few, who take all the decisions.

He held a press conference at Meham town of the district on Wednesday. Avoiding the questions over the speculations that he was in touch with the Bharatiya Janata Party, he said that he did not go to INLD when he joined it, rather its leaders had come to Meham Chaubhisi doorstep to induct him in the party. He said that the question of his expulsion from party does not hold water as he never took primary membership of party and his verbal understanding with party was limited to Lok Sabha polls.

Notably, after facing a humiliating defeat in the recent Lok Sabha polls, Kharkhara had complained of back-stabbing by some party leaders. INLD had served him a show-cause notice for raising the party's internal matter in public. The ongoing tussle ended with his ouster on Tuesday.
