The union ministry of law has re-appointed advocate Mohan Jain as an additional solicitor general of India to defend the government in the Supreme Court.
The appointment is for two years and this would be his second tenure. Jain, who had also remained advocate general of Haryana earlier, has a career spanning over 30 years.
Earlier, the union law ministry had given him the responsibility of implementing the National Litigation Policy in Punjab, Haryana, HP, and J&K.
Jain is one amongst the six appointed as additional solicitor generals on July 5. The others are Mohan Prasaran, Indira Jaising, PP Malhotra, Harin P Rawal and Gaurab Banerji.
