Jandali to head BSP in Punjab

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati has revamped the Punjab unit of the party and appointed Parkash Singh Jandali as the new state president.

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati has revamped the Punjab unit of the party and appointed Parkash Singh Jandali as the new state president.


Jandali succeeds Rajya Sabha MP Avtar Singh Karimpuri.

Karimpuri has been given the charge of coordinator for Himachal Pradesh, relieving Narinder Kashyap, a party spokesman said here.

The revamp has been done with an eye on the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, party sources said here.

A close aide of Karimpuri, Jandali hails from Jandali village in Ludhiana district.
