Jaspal Dappar elected president in Dera Bassi

Jaspal Singh Dappar was elected as the president of Dera Bassi Bar Association in the annual elections on Friday.

Jaspal Singh Dappar was elected as the president of Dera Bassi Bar Association in the annual elections on Friday.


Dappar defeated his opponent Manmohan Lalr by a margin of nine votes. Most candidates belonging to Dappar's panel won in the election. Mahadev Singh was elected as vice-president. He won by 14 votes. Leela Dhar Sharma won by 15 votes and was elected as the treasurer of the association.

Amrinder Nainva was elected unopposed as the joint secretary. Only Summit Goel of the opponent group won a post. He was elected as the secretary.
