Haryana director general of police SN Vashisth on Wednesday said any police personnel found not performing his duty in the Jyoti murder case would be dealt with strongly.

He was interacting with presspersons after holding a meeting with the district police officials to review the arrangements made for the upcoming assembly elections.

Vashishth said the police were examining a copy of the high court’s judgment in the case.

In its judgment, the court had exonerating all the accused, including a Congress MLA from Himachal Pradesh.

He said the enquiry committee would submit its report within one week, following which a decision to file an appeal in the court would be taken.
