Haryana's pro-tem speaker Raghubir Singh Kadian will administer oath to the newly-elected MLAs on the opening day of the Haryana Assembly tomorrow.
Kadian, who is a Congress MLA from Beri constituency in Jhajjar district, was appointed pro-tem Speaker on Thursday, being the senior most member of the state Assembly.
The pro-tem Speaker performs the duties of the office of the Speaker from the commencement of the sitting of the House till the election of the speaker.
Meanwhile, the election of Speaker of the new Assembly will take place tomorrow, while Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki will address the House on Tuesday.
Kadian had served as Speaker of the Haryana Assembly from 2005 to 2009.
For the first time BJP formed the government on its own bagging 47 of the 90 seats.
