Kargil heroes paid floral tributes

Soldiers, district officials and people from all walks of life came all way to Dharamsala Marty Memorial to pay floral tributes to the fallen heroes of the 1999 Kargil war.

This year marks 15th anniversary of the Kargil War. Brigadier RK Gaikwad from 39 Mountain Division, army officials from 9 Corps- also known as Rising Star Corps, Kangra deputy commissioner C Palrasu laid the wreaths at the war memorial.

The ceremony was organised by Himachal Martyr Memorial Development Committee. The people present on the occasion remembered the Kargil heroes and said the country was indebted to the soldiers who laid their lives in service of the nation. A army-civilian interaction was organised on the occasion, in which people were told about the importance of Kargil war.
