Karva Chauth carnival started with fanfare at Institute Of International Fashion Design on Tuesday. Miss India, Aprajita Sharma, declared the carnival open by lighting a lamp.
A free mehandi installation camp was also held for the married women in which large numbers of women took part.
The institute also organised competitions for best clothing, best nail paint and best hair dressings on this occasion.
The main highlight of the function was a fashion show arranged by the students of the institute.
While talking to the participants, Aprajita congratulated them for their working. She told them to take active part in their studies and take a lead in the world of fashion designing.
Shakuntla Sharma, owner of the institute, welcomed the guests on this occasion.
