Kashmiri Pandits extend support to BJP candidate

Kashmiri Pandit Sabha honoured BJP's Panchkula candidate Gian Chand Gupta in a meeting held in Sector 20. The organisation also extended the support of Kashmiri community to the candidate for upcoming assembly elections.

Calling Gupta an honest candidate, Vijay Kumar Vaishnavi, the president of the organisation's Panchkula chapter, said he was a leader "committed to serving people of the city".

Chandigarh deputy mayor Heera Negi, who was also present on the occasion, asked those present to vote for Gupta and said he was confident that BJP would form a government in the state.

Earlier on Monday, Gupta went to Rattewali village in Barwala where a Kabaddi tournament had been organised by Sports Promotion Society which Gupta heads. He also held a public meeting at Rajiv Colony and assured them of all the facilities and rehabilitation once voted to power.
