Kerala girls qualified for the final in ongoing 41st Junior National Volleyball Championship, being organised at Shivalik Public School-41, and Sector 7 Sports Complex, on Saturday. In the semifinals, Kerala defeated West Bengal 3-1 (25-13 21-25, 25-10, 25-14).

In the boys’ section, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala and Haryana entered semifinals. In the quarterfinals, Tamil Nadu defeated hosts Chandigarh 3-0 (26-24, 25-23, 25-15), while Uttar Pradesh defeated Gujarat 3-2 in a keenly fought match. UP won 23-25, 25-12, 17-25, 25-17, 15-9. Kerala defeated Andhra Pradesh 3-1 (25-22, 25-22, 21-25, 25-17), while Haryana outclassed Karnataka 3-1 (21-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-18) to book berths in the last four.
