Khap to honour Lt Gen Dalbir Singh

A day after Lt Gen Dalbir Singh, a native of Bisaan village of Jhajjar district, was formally named the next army chief, the Barha khap (a cluster of 12 villages), also called Kadyan khap, on Wednesday welcomed the government’s decision.

A day after Lt Gen Dalbir Singh, a native of Bisaan village of Jhajjar district, was formally named the next army chief, the Barha khap (a cluster of 12 villages), also called Kadyan khap, on Wednesday welcomed the government’s decision.


In a meeting at Gaushala of Beri block of Jhajjar district headed by khap pradhan Kedar Singh, the members decided to honour the army chief-designate for bringing honour to the area, the district in particular and the state in general.

Kedar Singh told mediapersons that as soon as Lt Gen Dalbir Singh Suhag for mally takes over as ar my chief, the Barha khap would host a function in his honour at Beri to felicitate him.

He said to be in defence services for serving the country is an old-time passion of youngsters in villagers under Jhajjar district.
