Kirron, party leaders head for Delhi

A day after her spectacular win, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate, Kirron Kher, along with her party leaders, left for Delhi on Saturday.

Apart from Kirron, BJP local unit chief, Sanjay Tandon and former MP, Satya Pal Jain also left for Delhi to meet the party leadership.

Both Tandon and Jain have played major roles in Kher's win and are to learnt have gone to Delhi to share their joy over the mammoth win in the general elections with their counterparts in the Captial.

Kher, on the other hand, will also meet senior leaders o fthe party. Murmurs over Kirron getting some responsibility in the new government and top three local leaders getting reward for ensuring her win are on in the local party circles.

But it appears to be unlikely at this moment as the BJP national leadership busy with government formation and distribution of portfolios.


The BJP workers of Budail on Saturday celebrated the party victory in the area. The workers distributed sweets and also burst firecrakers to celebrate party candidate, Kirron's win from Chandigarh.
