A day after Thakar Singh, father of Kirron Kher, issued a statement defending his daughter in a property dispute case, Singh was seen seeking votes for Kirron during a morning walk at Sukhna Lake on Monday morning.

The 101-year-old was carrying BJP flag and greeted the morning walkers at Sukhna and sought votes for the BJP candidate for the Chandigarh seat in the Lok Sabha polls. The pictures of Kirron’s father campaigning for her daughter, posted by the BJP candidate in the evening went viral on the Facebook.

“My 101 years old father Col Thakar Singh (retd) seeking votes for me during his daily morning walk at Sukhna Lake. Thanks a lot Papa,”Kirron stated in her post on Facebook.

The photos generated huge response from Kirron’s followers and people admired the spirit of his father. “Beauty of relationship and love of a father-captivating moments-Kirron, with his blessings you have won the hearts of people of Chandigarh. You are an MP of their hearts,”Heera Kak, one of the followers said. While another follower namely Jaspreet Singh lauded the spirit of Singh.

Singh has remained silent all the while during her campaign and only broke silence on Sunday, when his daughterin-law Gurindesh Kaur accused Kher of ‘grabbing’ property of an undivided Hindu family fraudulently.
