The Lahore-Delhi bus was involved in a pile-up on Wednesday on the Amritsar bypass. In the accident that occurred around 2pm on the Loharka road, no loss of life is reported, though a policeman accompanying the bus was injured.
The bus that runs under police protection crashed into the police Gypsy it was tailing and which had run into a car in front. “The car was negotiating a U-turn on the Loharka road when it came in the way of the police Gypsy,” said assistant sub-inspector Malook Singh of the Fatehgarh Churian bypass police post.
The Delhi-Lahore bus behind the gypsy was damaged in the incident. The ASI added that the matter was being investigated under Section 427 (mischief causing small damage) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
