Gandhi, while speaking at Shaheed Udham Singh Memorial Bhawan, Sector 44C, emphasised on women's reservation bill pending in Parliament for the past several years.
He added, "We are living in the scientific era, but our traditional parties have an old mind set. They celebrate the martyrdom days of various martyrs, but in reality these people are against martyrs' thoughts."
Talking about the latest land acquisition bill passed by the Lok Sabha, he said that the ruling party was responsible for creating such "black laws"or anti-labour bills.
On this occasion, mayor Poonam Sharma said that the MC had dedicated 2015 for the women empowerment in the city. She exhorted women to use their legal powers.
