Punjab chief minister Pakash Singh Badal on Monday said the Congress has always played politics of revenge and pressured regional parties. "It has used the CBI as a weapon to put Indian National Lok Dal supremo Om Parkash Chautala and his son Ajay Chautala behind bars in the JBT teachers' recruitment case," Badal said while launching the poll campaign of Ajay Chautala's wife and INLD's Dabwali candidate Naina Singh Chautala.
Addressing a meeting at Saktakhera village, he said the Congress had done a similar thing to him in Punjab and sent him and his family members to jail in false cases, but people of Punjab took revenge and threw the Congress out of the state.
"Now, it is the turn of Haryana's people to favour the INLD in the ensuing assembly elections and to avenge injustice done to the Chautala family," he said.
Badal said people would not tolerate parties that do political injustice. "Former UPA government is an example of that. People of the nation have uprooted the Congress and threw it away," he added.
He said INLD supremo is behind the bars because he has given more than 3,000 jobs to the unemployed youth.
