Lok adalats in Punjab prisons

The Punjab and Haryana high court has conferred the powers of special judicial magistrate (first class) on the secretaries of the district legal service authorities for holding jail lok adalats/camp courts in jails of Punjab for a period of one year.

According to the schedule, the territorial jurisdiction of PCS (judicial) officer Arun Kumar Aggarwal will be Amritsar, while his colleague Varun Nagpal has been assigned Tarn Taran for hearings on the jail premises.

Other such judicial officers to hold the lok adalats in prisons are Tripat Jot Kaur for Barnala, Jasbir Kaur (Bathinda), Archana Kamboj (Faridkot), Gurpartap Singh (Fatehgarh Sahib), Madan Lal (Ferozepur), Vikrant Kumar (Fazilka), Gurnam Singh Dhillon (Gurdaspur), Rashmi Sharma (Hoshiarpur), Rana Kanwar Deep Kaur (Jalandhar), Manila Chugh (Kapurthala), Krishan Kumar Singla (Ludhiana), Amandeep Kaur (Mansa), Neetika Verma (Moga), Aashish Abrol (Pathankot), Kapil Aggarwal (Patiala), Gopal Arora (Rupnagar), Tarn Taran Singh Bindra (SAS Nagar), Mohit Bansal (Sangrur), Shikha Goel (Nawanshahr) and Daljit Singh Ralhan (Muktsar).
