Mahesh Gupta, chairman of Kent RO Systems Limited, took over as the vice-president of PHD Chamber of Commerce at the conclusion of the 108th annual general meeting of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries India, here.
Gupta, an entrepreneur, is known for revolutionising the water purifiers' industry in the country.
He joined PHD Chamber two years ago as managing committee member and was the chairman of UP committee for 2012-13.
A mechanical engineering graduate from IIT Kanpur, Gupta started his entrepreneurial journey in 1999 by inventing country's first dual technology water purifier which was an answer to the alarming problem of safe drinking water.
In recognition to this contribution, he was named as the pure water man of the country.
