Punjab Congress chief Partap Singh Bajwa, on Thursday, said revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia was trying to mislead people by saying the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had summoned him as a witness and not an accused.

Bajwa, in a statement here, said the ED had summoned Majithia on the basis of the disclosure statements furnished by the accused in the course of investigation in the Bhola drug racket.

“In their testimonies, the accused had categorically and unequivocally stated that the drugs were supplied at the behest of the minister who shared the proceeds of the crime and actively aided, abetted and facilitated the racket,” Bajwa claimed.
