A Major’s wife has got registered a complaint with the Delhi police, alleging that she was beaten up by an unidentified person at the behest of a Colonel, who was the commanding officer of her husband in the National Security Guard (NSG) at Samalkha (Haryana), which also led to her hospitalisation.

The FIR was registered at Dwarka police station on the complaint of Dr Priya Rohan, wife of Major Rohan J.

Major Rohan J has been transferred to Jammu. He and his wife were staying in NSG accommodation till August 17. The alleged assault took place on August 18 at their private accommodation in Dwarka.

According to the FIR, Dr Rohan, a dermatologist, complained that on August 18, when she was alone at home, an unknown person came to her flat and said that he needed treatment for a skin allergy. However, she refused as she does not see patients at home.

“After he requested a lot, I opened the door… He entered the house and… started using abusive language,” she complained. She also told the police that he said that as she was raising an issue with Col Rajneesh Mohan (commanding officer), he would teach her a lesson.

The police registered the case on the charges of criminal intimidation, voluntarily causing hurt and for using words to insult the modesty of woman.

Dr Rohan has an issue with Col Rajeev Mohan’s wife Anupama Mohan over allegedly using racist remarks against her and her husband and had also issued a legal notice to her for defamation, mental harassment and threatening. Col Rajneesh Mohan could not be contacted despite repeated attempts.
