A constable with the Chandigarh Police was thrashed by one person at Kaimbwala near here on Thursday.
Following a complaint at the Police Control Room about a clash at Kaimbwala, constable Vicky reached the spot.
The complainant Kripal Singh told Vicky that Sanjay Kumar had stolen his mobile phone and misbehaved with him. Vicky started questioning Sanjay who in turn started misbehaving with the cop and also thrashed him. The constable was also hit by a baton.

The cop alleged that Sanjay hit him with a baton, following which he got injured and was rushed to the Government Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sector 16, for treatment. The accused was arrested for manhandling a police official and for deterring him from performing government duty.
