Mandeep Singh's family calls him innocent

The mother of 25-year-old Mandeep Singh, who has been detained by New Delhi police for questioning in the suicide of MDLR airhostess Geetika Sharma, after police found the SIM card from which calls were made to vicitim was issued on the name of Singh, called her son to be completely innocent in this case.


Sukhwinder Kaur, the mother of Mandeep said, "He has been working with local legislator Gopal Kanda for last three years. We got to know about Mandeep's arrest from television news, but we want to ask how a simple worker can deny the owner of his company for using mobile".

Nirmal Kaur, Singh's aunt, said "Our child is innocent and he joined MDLR as a worker, and Kanda may have used his mobile for calling Geetika, but that doesn't prove that he is guilty".

When the news of Mandeep's arrest brooke, his neighbors and relatives started gathering at his Sirsa based house to console the family and to give support in this difficult time.

Harpal Singh, his cousin said "Mandeep recently came home on Raksha-bandan, as his two little sisters are here, and he was behaving like a normal guy".
