Mandi MC clarifies over Provisions of TCP Act

Mandi municipal council (MMC) officiating executive officer Ajay Parashar has made some clarifications over the provisions of HP Town and Country Planning (Amendment) Ordinance, 2014, in the wake of a lot of queries coming in this regard.

Addressing mediapersons here on Friday, Parashar sought help of media to provide exact information and said that application under sub-section 1 of the Ordinance shall be made within 45 days in prescribed form from September 10 onwards and the application will be disposed within a period of one year.

Parashar said that no exemption will be allowed in case the owner has encroached upon any government, board, corporation or institution, land lying below highest flood level (HFL) and developments or constructions carried out without permission or in deviation to approved plan.

He added that deviations and unauthorised constructions shall be measured at each floor level and regularisation fee shall be calculated and paid by the applicant for each floor and the buildings constructed on under size plots is permissible to extent 70% of on all set backs on ground floor and all subsequent floors and the number of storeys shall not exceed six, including basement, attic and parking floors.
