The accused, Sunil, was booked on Monday night. The police have also included the name of the man's son for allegedly threatening the victim's husband.

In her complaint, the victim alleged that her husband was a truck driver. She said that the accused, Sunil, a transporter and resident of Dirba in Sangrur district, sent her husband for an assignment to Solan on Sunday. At night, he allegedly barged into the couple's house and raped her. The woman said that Sunil was under the influence of liquor and threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about the incident.

Later, the woman narrated the incident to her husband, who approached Shanti, the son of the accused, but he, too, threatened the family against disclosing the incident to anybody.

Later the couple lodged a police complaint against the father-son duo. On a complaint by the victim, police have registered a case under sections 376 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. Both accused are at large.
